President Barack Obama plans to spend a long holiday weekend in Chicago.
The White House says Obama and his family will travel to their hometown on Thursday and stay through the weekend. It will be their first trip back home since a visit for Valentine’s Day weekend in February 2009.
On Monday, Obama is scheduled to participate in a Memorial Day ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.
In Obama’s absence, Vice President Joe Biden will participate in the customary wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery outside Washington.

My Personal Thoughts .....
Tradition is a valued honor. It's just the start of many things to come in changes in society. Yes a promise made shouldn't be broken, but how many of those individuals would of understood waiting another week or day even month in honor of the tradition of the president laying the wreath on the unknown soilder and giving his speach in honor of the men and women that have given their lives so he can stand in the position he is is on the most sacred ground there is. I look back over the years at family traditions even traditions for the country that have been broken and changed and not always sure there is alot of good in them. Traditions is the foundation of many things and when you take that away soon things begin to crumble and a new is born in it's place. The honor of our men and women who died fighting for our freedom - for his freedom .... is this truely a tradition we which to break?
I disagree with so much that MY American born President stands for, and does, and what he is apparently trying to accomplish.
ReplyDeleteWe need to remember he was a child raised outside the United States. He is not at all a product of our Culture, but a mix of foreign cultures that are primarily Marxist/Socialist, and very European Union in mind-set.
His actions to date shows me that President Obama is just incapable of understanding the terrible insult he has delivered to our Warrior Dead, and to our National honor, and by extension, to every American who DOES have a clue as to what Memorial Day represents.
President Obama either has no understanding of... or just does not give a damn what the "great unwashed" think of... the part we expect OUR American President, be he Republican or Democrat, to play in our celebration of the sacrifices made by the men and women at rest in Arlington.
President Obama was NOT raised as an American, and was trained from an early age to hate and fear America and Americans, and it shows in his constant disrespect of our commonly held values.
The consequences of our electing him President are much greater than this disgusting insult, although this does demonstrate just how out of touch he is with the main-stream heartbeat of our great nation.

As you might guess this is a subject near and dear to my heart. Since I work with and for our troops on a day to day basis and am a vietnam vet to boot! On the good side of this (If there can be one) Obamawama is comepletly disliked and trusted by vets and troops alike. Unfortunatly Joe Biden is not much better. But one thing for sure, This is a huge slap in the face to our troops and all who support them. CanisMjr aka flynwlf
